FIFTH WEEK ROUND UP (10/7 - 14/7)

 The week was packed. I was able to finish "We're the World" and start "A Shipwrecked Sailor". I also had my second optional observation on 12th. I was able to incorporate current events as part of the entry activity to get students interested in the chapter.




"A Shipwrecked Sailor" can drag a little so using ICT and interesting activities could keep the students engaged. Struggled a little with class management at the start of the week, but I think I have tried to reflect and come up with solutions. The classes the rest of the week went well.

The Final Sem !

College re-opened on June 1 for the fourth and final semester of the course. It was treated as an orientation day with strings of talks that was mixture of learning, motivationa and an overview of the semester ahead.  A small function was organized as a farewell for George sir who was transferring to another college. Following which we had talks by Dr. Asha, Dr. Joju John, Prof Nathanien and an overview of the semester by Dr. Bindu. The day concluded with a feedback session. It remains to be seen what the fourth semester has in store for us.

FEASTS AND TESTS (29/7 - 1/8)

On 29 July the feast day of Bethany sisters were celebrated. We gave a small gift as a token of our love. I completed the poem "From a Railway Carriage", PPT was used effectively so that students could see and understand the imagery in the poem. I conducted the achievement test on 1 August. It was for 25 marks with a time limit of 45 minutes.

BEGINNING THE B.Ed JOURNEY

The orientation classes at MTTC started today. The sessions pacified the nervous excitement and apprehensions. An energetic and optimistic start to this journey from a student to a teacher. The professors kept the energy on at all times. Certain curious discoveries and opportunities for self-reflection on the very first day. Eagerly looking forward to this eventful journey!
